Aston Cox Land and Property Developers is pleased to provide an update on the ongoing ENVEVO rapid charger project at our Blackpool car dealership site. The initiative forms part of our continued commitment to enhancing electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure across our sites and supporting the growing demand for sustainable motoring.
Significant groundwork has already been completed, with all ducting and earth cable trenches fully dug and refilled. This essential stage ensures that the infrastructure is in place to safely and efficiently distribute power to the upcoming charging units.
The project has now progressed to the electrical phase, with the substation successfully installed. This key component will manage power distribution and ensure that the chargers operate reliably once connected. The installation of the substation marks a major milestone in the project timeline.
Alongside the substation work, the bases for the chargers and the low-voltage (LV) panel have been created. These foundations are critical to the safe and secure installation of the equipment, providing both stability and protection for the units.
The project team is currently awaiting the delivery of the chargers and the LV panel. Once these components arrive, final installation can begin, bringing the site one step closer to full operational status.
Aston Cox anticipates that the ENVEVO rapid chargers will be fully operational by May. This development will provide our customers with convenient and high-speed EV charging at the Blackpool dealerships, further enhancing the site’s facilities and supporting the transition to electric vehicles.
