We’re delighted to announce that our Rapid EV Charging Project in Blackpool is officially underway - in partnership with ENVEVO!
Following the successful approval of our change-of-use planning application for a drive-thru facility a few months ago, we’ve been able to shift focus to our Rapid EV Charging development on the same plot. While separate projects, both the EV charging station and drive-thru have been designed to complement each other and enhance the overall site offering.
As part of our vision to create a vibrant community hub on Blackpool/Saint Annes Way, selecting the right delivery partner for a project of this scale was crucial. From our first conversations with ENVEVO, we were impressed by the scope and quality of their existing EV infrastructure projects - making our choice of provider an easy one.
Who is ENVEVO?
ENVEVO is a UK-based company specialising in the design, installation, and maintenance of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. Since 2019, they’ve delivered over 3,000 turnkey projects, managing the entire process from planning and design through to construction and commissioning.
Their clients include industry giants like Shell, BP Pulse, and MFG, and their portfolio features high-profile installations at locations such as Downing Street and NHS hospitals.
What’s Next?
We’re currently in the planning and design phase, working closely with ENVEVO’s experienced design architects. They’re focused on developing the optimal site layout, structures, and planning documentation to ensure the station is safe, compliant, and seamlessly integrated into the surrounding area — ready for construction.
Excitement is building every week as we move forward with this project. With ENVEVO’s expertise, we’ll soon have six brand-new rapid EV charging bays at our site just off the M55 motorway — ready to serve EV drivers and complement our future drive-thru operator.
With the 2035 ban of the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles fast approaching, our site has been developed with the future in mind — helping to support the transition to electric with fast, reliable, and accessible charging infrastructure for drivers and businesses.
